Collection: IKAT

Believed to have originated in South-East Asia, Ikat is a popular dyeing and weaving technique, now practiced by expert artisans across the world. In India, Ikat takes on many forms - Patola, Teli Rumal and Bandha among others - but they are all incredibly difficult to master, with artisans often taking years to learn how to design, dye and hand loom Ikat fabric. In India Ikat is a popular weave for saris worn traditionally during important occasions.

The Ikat in Shore's  Ikat Collection was woven by artisans in Andhra Pradesh, India.
